Welcome to Vesper Yacht Charters
Our yacht’s name “Vesper” pays homage to the time of day when things slow down. Vespers are evening prayers said or sung in the late afternoon.
Welcome aboard the elegantly stunning 36 foot Hinckley Picnic Boat, Vesper. Her dark green hull and immaculate brightwork are show stoppers; an excellent example of Hinckley’s prestige in the yachting world. All the way aft is her teak swim platform with folding stainless steel boarding ladder.
The cockpit on this Hinckley is part of what makes her stand out from other boats on the water. It’s a nod to an era when things were slower and more intentional. Imagine how easy it would be to lose yourself in conversation with loved ones as the sun sets.
The seating is upholstered with Ralph Lauren patio striped green cushions adding to her Americana feel. Across the transom is deep seating for three and a comfortable reversible chase lounge atop the engine box with room for four. There’s also a removable teak table that transforms this area into an open air dining space. Running up and down the port and starboard sides are varnished teak coming rails. This is an area where Hinckley has been getting it right for over nine decades. She’s powered by a whisper quiet Yanmar 6LYA-STE diesel engine generating 370 horsepower paired with a Hamilton Jet Drive resulting in a draft of only 18 inches. Vesper has a 25 knot top speed and 20 knot cruise where her Kevlar coated hill cuts through the waves with ease.
Teak grab rails continue forward from the top of the pilothouse to the bow cap. Enclosing foredeck is a teak toe rail and a tall stainless bow rail.
The pilot house seats three and her joinery speaks to how seriously Hinckley takes their builds. The ceiling is covered with white sound dampening with two opening skylights. Her exquisite teak helm contains the ships radar and chart plotter along with engine display gauges.
On the starboard side of the wheel are her engine control and VHF radio along with her autopilot and joystick.
Stepping down to the lower level we come to the galley on the port side with a top loading refrigerator, stainless sink and two burner range. Across from the galley is the day head with a beautiful teak vanity, shower and vacuflush toilet.
Forward is the v-berth flanked by teak strakes fixed with bronze hardware. A large opening skylight can be found above the berth.
The cabin’s climate is controlled by a reverse cycle air conditioning paired with a unique 800 amp hour battery bank and inverter to provide silent operations when at anchor.
This is the type of boat that keeps us falling deeper in love with boating. She’s an ode to classic American craftsmanship and shows that attention to detail is the cornerstone of bringing a yacht like this to life.
We are genuinely excited to present to you our 36′ Picnic Vesper.
